Audio files are ingested into Cadenzabox via our integration with Dropbox. After ingestion, we do not use Dropbox to further store anything, it is simply a conduit to receive your audio.
In the rare case that you are unable to use Dropbox for delivery, we can set up a private FTP space for the delivery of your audio files. This may introduce a slight delay to your onboarding though.
We can natively accept AIF (also AIFF), WAV and MP3 files for ingestion up to 192Khz/24bit. All files must be in Mono or Stereo format (for now).
Recently we have found that some files that have been transcoded to different sample rates and exported from certain DAWs have proved problematic and are unable to be read by the industry-standard LAME or FFMPEG encoders that we use upon ingestion.
This is an emerging issue which we are actively investigating, so please if you have any insight here feel free to share with us as it may help us deal with or adapt to an emerging process.
