When you have a large tag taxonomy, you may want to or notice, top level tag types with lower level tag types below them, this is a parent/child tag relationship that can be created between tags.
Doing this can help with a more refined search by a user.
Double Bass and Violin have been nested into the Tag Strings, becoming a parent tag
Log into admin
Navigate to catalog > tags
Select the tag you’d like to nest
In the edit panel, in the ‘Parent’ section, start typing the name of the tag you want to nest this tag into
In the autocomplete, select the tag you want

Save the track
Refresh the page
The tag(s) will now be nested. If you would like to change the styling of the nested tags (also known as ‘Child tags’) get in touch and we can discuss what can be done.
